Paradise Eclipsed

The lens through which I view my surroundings is altered by the fragility of my own personal world.

Loss looms in the distance. I feel trapped on a path directly to it, but I refuse to submit.

I fight to prolong my time in the present. It becomes all I do and soon I am too exhausted to savor a single moment.

Flickering visions of freedom beckon me forward. This is only temporary.
